Jamit Software was formed in 1999 from very humble beginnings. In 2009, it celebrates it's 10th birthday and it has been an incredible ride for the last 10 years!

I've been steadily developing this since 2004. The project first started while I was teaching English as a second language in South Korea (despite holding a BSc in Computer Science). At that time, I needed a script for my spare-time project, and I could not find any script which I liked so I decided to make my own. I rented a small office in the basement of a downtown building in Seoul, Korea, and got down to work on it every morning, before going to teach English later in the afternoons.
The launch of my first job board was a success. Since then, I used my job board software to launch a few other job boards. I had to re-write many parts of the script so that it was more flexible and quick to configure for different industries and locations. From there, the idea of 'dynamic forms' came about, and many other features that you see in there now. My goal was to create a single software which I can use to power all of my web sites.
Moving forward a few months later, I realized that other people would be also be interested in my software, so I decided to license it to others. I re-wrote many of the parts of the software in early 2005, and released version 2. I celebrated my first license sold in May 2005!
In the summer of 2007, I released version 3 after moving to a new domain name (jamit.com) with a re-design of the site. Version 3 introduced Plugins and Themes systems, further enhancing the job board's functionality and maintainability.
Today, I'm simply thrilled that my software is used by hundreds of job boards world-wide, from a range of different industries and specialties. I also feel rewarded by the fact that there is always someone in the world right now who is using my software to find a job.
